Bought this for my laptop because I liked the iphone version so much. But it is klutzy to organize, and I am disappointed that you cannot zoom in on the areas you are concerned with on the maps - all you can do is see things regionally. Strange, since that is one of the best features of the mobile version. It seems to refresh frequently at least.

Worst app I ever purchased. Radar is awful and pretty useless app for me. I can’t get my local radar much less zoom in. I don’t find it that acturate either. Wish I could get my money back!

This is an antequated app that is worth nothing. I bought it, but I use the free Weather.com. What a waste of money.

If all you want to know is what’s happening outside your window, other apps will suffice and provide cute animations of the moon on a clear, cloudy, rainy, or snowy evening. You can even see what is expected temperature- and precipitation-wise over the next 12 hours! But that’s the limit of their utility. This app takes the absolutely opposite approach. You can drill as deeply as you care to into forecasts, weather warnings, trends over time, satellite mapping (animated or not), and much else. Set it up to tell you what’s happening anywhere you have family or friends, and you are all set all the time. Adding and deleting places you are traveling could not be easier - and, presto, the info is right there, front page, for you. The only problems I’ve encountered concerns changes the NWS makes that (temporarily) deny the app detailed narrative weather forecasting. But the situation always is soon fixed. These folks care about delivering a quality product. If you want one, buy Wx.

I have been using WX for at least 4 years. It is my go-to app for obtaining weather data. There are many apps available that provide the user with access to NWS and other data so it is always a question of how that data is expressed. I like the front end/look-feel of WX because I find it intuitive and well organized. It can be used by anyone simply looking for a decent forecast for different locations all the way up to someone looking for a much higher level of weather data. I highly recommend WX.

I use Wx on a daily basis to see what is going on weather wise. We have a lot of wind and thunderstorms in our area and I like the audible beep when there is an alert in our area. I also like the full US radar map - gives a great view of what is coming and what is already in our area. Very well programmed app!!

I’ve used Wx for years now and even though other weather apps come and go, I am still using this app every day. The author continues to enhance and refine the application and if you have an issue the response is very fast. I highly recommend this app to anyone who is interested in the weather, and especially to those who need to keep track of it.

For what it is, I like this app. I like how everything is arranged logically and the settings are very easy to change. Like the alerts, too. I’d have given it five stars except for the fact that I find it annoying that I can’t zoom in on the radar map. It’s quite smll and it doesn’t let you resize the window, so it’s hard to see just where the action actually is. If they’d code it to allow either zoom or window enlargement, I’d be very happy with this app. Another nice possible upgrade would be the addition of a map layer that shows severe weather alert boxes, but it’s just a wish list, not necessary. I do have other apps that do this.

I have about 15 different weather forecasting apps & widgets and this is the one I use first. And usually its the only one I refer to. Inforation you need and want, clearly presented

Have used Wx nearly from start. It has been my go to app on wx. It has been especially fabulous as rough storms approach central Wisconsin. I watch the active radar to see what’s coming and see if it will hit us or go by. Love the alerts as well. Use it a lot when planning near term driving trip. Have it on MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad. Cannot live without it. I have e-mailed Craig Hunter, the developer, several times when I had issues, and he always answered promptly and thoroughly. He’s an ace.

Very fast, compact, customizable and, overall, a very efficient, no nonsense weather app. I especially like how accessible it makes NWS special bulletins and warnings. Uses very little in the way of resources and saves a lot of time compared to searching several NWS sites if you’re trying to follow Wx at several locations. All in all: highly recommended!

This is a very nice WX app. Nice US radar.

After two years, this is still my go-to desk-top weather app. Accurate, to the point, no distractions. Get it.

This APP is outstanding. It is flexible in the places one can refer, the displays are clear and easily read. Changing from one city to another is extremely quick and the reports are accurate. For the average user, this app is exactly what they need. I have several other apps, but this is my favorite.

This is the best desktop weather app I’ve found. Concise, accurate, everything you need but nothing you don’t need. Get it.

I have been using this app for years. It has been installed on my macs for as long as I can remember. I keep coming back even though there are prettier weather apps out there. This one delivers the goods, reliably, and well. Please keep up the very good performance.

I have a bunch of weather app buts this is my go to app. It’s very accurate and intuitive.

This is a great app as compared to fighting through all the ads and garbage the online weather sites throw at you. I’ve had the app for several years and it is a pleasure to use, especially for work related travel. Clean, easy to navigate, it just works plus you can get severe alerts as well, worth the investment

Impressed that it allows the entry of a specific street address. Not impressed it does not mark the location entered on the map. Yes it provides weater information for the loation but the graphical radar map is missing the dot that marks the location. Additionally an ability to zoom in would be great. Nit picking? You bet but these two minor flaws kept it from gett 5 stars. Ah the price of perfection. By the way it is truly a well done app.
